2011 Bridal Fashion Trends

Each fall, bridal designers launch their new designs for spring.  After recently attending market, I wanted to share the fabulous trends forthcoming:

Texture:  Texture is all the rave and continues to permeate the runway.  Accordion ruffles, flowers, petals. feathers and three demension looks adorn gowns from every designer.  From ornate to bold, this trend continues to evolve

Belts and Sashes:  A belt or sash can change the look of any gown.  Flower sashes have become popular and add that hint of whimsy, especially when used in an unexpected color; like black.

Straps: Although strapless remains a staple, there is a noticeable increase in straps.  Single straps are often embellished with beading, flowers and braiding.

Short:  I love the new short gowns, especially the tea lenghts that are reminiscent of the 50's era. They are fun and flirty and are perfect for garden weddings or less formal affairs.

Lace:  Lace screams romance and what bride doesn't want a little romance?  What I love most is the return to the classic look of lace with higher necklines, key hole backs and full lace backed gowns.

Cake cutters:  Okay, these cocktail length gowns have often been referred to as reception dresses, but as you will see the new reference fits the new look.  Who doesn't want to have fun at their reception in one of these dresses?

Remember, no matter what trend or style you choose, stay true to yourself. Until next time,

...be timeless
